STORY
So I wasn’t able to grab a good photo of my mulled wine recipe. Why? Every time I make a pot of it, it disappears! Nothing quite warms the cockles like this delicious spicy, fruity warm treat. Be sure to buy several bottles of red wine. You’ll need it! 🙂
RECIPE
- Prep Time: 5 minute
- Cook Time: ~20 – 30 minutes (the flavors must marry)
- Total TIme: ~25 – 35 minute
TOOLS
- 1 large stock pot
- 1 wooden spoon
INGREDIENTS
1 bottle of red wine (I’m not particular on which one you should use – doesn’t need to be expensive)
1/4 cup of pomegranate juice
1/2 cup of sugar
2 orange slices
2 cinnamon sticks
1 brown cardamom seed
3 cloves
METHOD
- Pour wine into a stock pot.
- Mix in 1/4 cup of pomegranate juice, 1/2 cup of sugar, 2 orange slices, 2 cinnamon sticks, 1 brown cardamon seed, and 3 whole cloves into the pot.
- Bring pot to a simmer over medium low heat.
- When flavors have married, serve your guests… if they don’t serve themselves first!
