On Saturday morning at the crack of dawn I woke Sean up and we headed to the flower district: I, for a good deal on beautiful flowers for my friend Ardie’s baby shower, and Sean for the photo-op I promised would be spectacular. And it was! Walls and walls of flowers!

Tonight we braised a bison cheek. My god folks, this one was a 10 out of 10. 3 hours of slow roasting at 275° F (135° C) produced one of the best meals we’ve ever had. Good. Rich, savory goodness.
